Iced Tulips

As a home designer, I appreciate fresh flowers' impact on a home interior. They bring liveliness and create an uplifting atmosphere. Plus, they just look great!

That said, you want to give them as much longevity as possible to respect the plant's life and your pocketbook. A simple way to keep flowers fresh and vibrant is to put ice cubes in the vase when arranging them. Many breeds, such as my personal favorite, tulips, thrive in temperatures ranging from 33°F to 35°F, while tropical flowers need a slightly higher temperature of 50°F to 55°F.
