Lilac Living

This project involved furnishing and decorating the entire first floor for a young family with two small children and a dog. The couple, young professionals who have diligently saved to purchase and furnish their dream home, hired me to create a cozy and warm environment that reflects their love for traditional style while being practical and child-friendly.

For the bedroom and dining room, I added sconces to enhance the ambiance. Noticing their fondness for antique fireplaces, I incorporated an antiqued, distressed white mantle in the dining room, giving the space a charming focal point without the need for a full fireplace installation.

The design incorporates a base palette of browns and beiges, accented with shades of blue and a spectrum of reds, including burgundy, pink, and touches of orange, with small hints of green to add variety. This color scheme creates a warm and inviting atmosphere while reflecting the family's willingness to embrace color.

Living Spaces: Beautiful, cozy, and child-friendly furniture and decor, with coffee tables holding lightweight, hard-to-break pieces.
Storage Solutions: Ample storage options to keep toys and clutter out of sight when entertaining guests.
Custom Touches: Sconces in the bedroom and dining room, and an antique-inspired mantle in the dining room to add character and warmth.
The goal was to create a beautiful and functional space that the family would love, balancing elegance and practicality for their everyday life.
